It is crazy to try and make one picture summarize all of the amazing experience of Rwanda. But of course what makes people go there is the legendary mountain "gorillas in the mist" made famous by Diane Fossey. This of course is a picture of a mighty silverback looking us over. But there was more to Rwanda than just the gorillas. We drove across some of the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen. Rwanda is called the Switzerland of Africa.

I've been to both and I would take Rwanda any day. We also saw the genocide center at Murambi. it wasa sobering, horrifying experience. Before going on our trip we (of course) saw the movie "Hotel Rwanda". We also saw the superior "Sometimes In April" After 2 1/2 weeks of watching lions, elephants, etc. from a jeep, walking to within fifteen of a mighty silverback gorilla was a thrilling experience like no other..
