Wenesday August 8th made it 3 years since we lost Elain. It is still quite hard for us all. We can't wait till the day that we see Elain again in the resurrection promised by Jehovah God and Jesus Christ.

This section is a tribute to my sister Elain who passed away on August 8th 2004. As much as I love my travel pictures, this isthe most cherished and important part of my entire site.

I urge everyone to go to it.

Well on May 23rd 2008 I saw the movie I have been waiting 19 years for. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. A group of us went to the new theatres at the Americana mall in Glendale. So what did I think?

Well..... first thing, it was so great to see Harrison Ford back in action that it makes up for virtually anything that could be off. Overall, it was a great film and I will be going to see it a few more times in the theatre. Most people will say it does not equal the other three. I am not sure I quite agree. I think it it equals Last Crusade. Of course Raiders is the orginal so no one could expect it would top that.

I know I am one of the few people on earth who feel this way, but Temple of Doom is my favorite of the entire series. Yes, the over-the-top gruseome, dark one! For some strange reason I saw this one before Raiders so it was how I was introduced to Indy Jones. I got a job in a theatre where it was playing, the Royal Theatre in Bloomfield NJ. I have never seen a movie have such an effect on an audience! People were yelling and screaming and cringing. I probably ended up seeing the flick 100 times before it went to video. Anyway, my preference of the films in order is:

Temple of Doom

Raiders

Crystal Skull (I better get to the theatre a few more time to be sure!)

Travel has become a great passion of mine. Not going and sitting on a beach in some resort but exotic world travel. This probably comes from seeing each of the Indiana Jones movies at least fifty times. My new Indy Jones page will be up and running soon. My first trip abroad was in 1994. It was one of those marathon 3 week trips through Europe. I went with Cosmos Tours. We did London, Lucerne, Lugano, Venice, Pisa, Florence, Rome, Sorrento and Capri.

It was years later, June 2001, on the spur of the moment that wanderlust boiled in me, till I couldn't take it. I decided to go to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat and The Killing Fields. In April 2002 I went to Northern India. I went to Delhi, Varanasi, Agra, Ranthambhore and Jaipur. All I will say is the Taj Mahal is everything you could imagine and more!

In November/December 2003, my wife Mary Ellen and Iwent to the International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses in Santiago, Chile. We also stopped in Peru to see Lima, Cuzco and Machu Picchu. In May 2004 we took a cruise to Alaska with the Princess Curise lines. In October 2005, we did the greatest adventure ever: as East African Safari!

May of 2007, we went to Spain, primarily the southern cities of Seville, Cordoba & Granda. Pictures and video coming soon

JAGUAR FILMS

I have been a screenwriter for years now. In 1998 I started my own production company, Jaguar Films. I wrote produced and directed a contemporary version of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart". TV

The 2008 the year of the strike.

Well the TV season was more or less ruined this year, especially for us 24 fans. However there were some highlights: 30 Rock, Scrubs, Earl, ER (yes it is still good), Law & Order (SVU & Original) The Office. Also the final season of Battlestar Galactica is great. However the one homerun of the season has to be:

I just watched the Lost season 4 finale and and OH MY GOODNESS. Lost is the one show that did better because of the strike. They were forced to compress the season (and probably got rid of some bad ideas) and what an amazing finale. The finale scene leads to so many more questions, as it always does.

BOOKS - 2008 reading List

Met Sue Grafton at Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena 12/11/2007

2007 was a landmark year for reading. I fufilled a longtime goal from college to read a book a month for a year. In total I read 16 books in 2007! The highlights were the Sue Grafton books "S" & "T" and "A Thousand Splendid Suns", but everything I read was great. Read my 2007 list.

I am not sure what 2008 will bring. The only things I know for sure are the 2008 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses and whatever book is released at our 2008 convention. Check out my list so far.

I feel like I would like to read something sci-fi, some hard-boiled noir story, like a Raymond Chandler and some classic, either Hemingway, Dosteyvsky or ???. I am open to suggestions.
