Day 2- Delhi - April 2nd, 2002
The second day was spent continuing through sites in Delhi and then catching the train to Varanasi.

Indira Ghandi Memorial
Indira Ghandi was prime minister of India from 1966 - 1984, minus a few middle years. She was assassinated in her backyard, by her own bodyguards (!) The home has been turned into a memorial for her. Her blood is still on the very path where she was shot.

The Lotus Temple
This amazing building is a temple of the Bahai faith. No photos were allowed closeup. The view to see was from far away anyway.

Jama Masjid
The Jama Mosque is the largest mosque in Delhi.

Indian Train
The Indian train system wasn't quite what I expected. See my travel journal for more detail. But it definitely got me to Varanasi.
