The sixth day was the one I dreamed of my whole life. It was the day I basked in the glory of the Taj Mahal.

The Taj Mahal

No it is not overrated. It is simply the most glorious building on earth. My my digital camera, which is also a video camera, I couldn't get any closer to the Taj Mahal. I had to leave my video camera at the desk. (Please go to my Nikon Day 6 stills to see the Taj up close.) For the most part I you will just need to search for history on your own, but here is a 10 second primer:

The Taj Mahal was built over 20 years by Shah Jahan, the great Mughal ruler, as a tomb for his wife Mumtaz, who died bearing their 16th child. Craftsmen from all over the world were brought into work on the beautiful white marble. I spent hours staring at it as the sun moved.

Indiana Hazle! Need some light on my face!
